Johan Santana flew to NY yesterday to be seen by Dr. Altchek. MRI on shoulder shows probable re-tear of anterior capsule.

Alderson says second shoulder surgery "strong possibility" for Santana. Likely out for year.

Johan's contract is not insured, by the way. $31 million this year with 2014 buyout.

This is final guaranteed year of Santana's $137.5 mill, 6-year contract with Mets. If this is it, they got 46 wins, 109 starts out of him.
